Adventure Medical Kits And Their Uses
Adventure medical kits are designed for military and security personnel. They are also designed for people who love adventures, trekking, mountaineering, expedition, hiking etc. They have many uses. The first aid kit for hiking contains sterile gloves, fabric and adhesive bandages, gauze, butterfly wound closure, knuckle bandage, wipes for insect sting bites, rescue whistle, antimicrobial towelette. The hemostatic agents have special role in first aid kits. These save the life from trauma as well as threatening injuries.
Blast bandage is designed to combat large wounds, burns and traumatic situations. It has an elastic wrap with non-adherent wound pad. It is large enough to cover the causalities of stomach, chest and back. The removable occlusive layer of this bandage can minimize the loss of moisture and heat when covered on stomach. This is more effective when compared to the normal ones. Tactical medical solutions prevent the situations of trauma. Camp Survival Kit Gift Ideas?
I would like to send friends working at a camp as counselors as a “Camp Survival Kit” and am looking for ideas. I was their Health Care Director for the past 2 summers, so a mix of medical & fun ideas are welcome!
Thanks!
Got you at counselors, Oh boy, keeping X amount of kids occupied for a period time would require a survival kit wouldn’t it? go for the band aids and a case of squirt guns,
I think the kit in a can is good, because it comes with a few first aid things but it also comes with survival things, but the others mainly come just with first aid supplies. Also its little so it looks like it could be easier to carry around. Hope you enjoy your adventures
What kind of supplies will i need to buy to make a survival kit?
with all the tornadoes that have been hitting all over the us, the ones in Sedalia and Joplin, MO being very close to where i live in St Joseph, MO, it has really hit home that we r NOT in NO WAY prepared for if that was to happen to us! so what i’m going to do is when i get my disability check on the 1st i’m going to buy the needed supplies for a survival kit. the kit would be for a family of 5 adults, one with special needs. (and yes i already plan on buying the special items for that person) all i can think of right now to buy would be flashlights with plenty of batteries, and of course emergency medical kit supplies, in case we’re not able to get any injuries taken care of right away. i KNOW there’s more to it then just that, but i honestly am very (for lack of better words) ignorant when it comes to this. so any advice would be welcome!
If You had a Medical Survival kit, Would you try to sew Your friend’s finger back On?
My friend put his finger in my face, and I was SOOOO high on shrooms,
that I thought it was a BOA CONSTRICTOR !
It was Attacking Me ! So I decided to EAT “IT”, BEFORE IT EATS ME !
So I bit its head off and spit it out.
The Next morning, I wake up and my friend is sitting on the couch waiting for me to wake up, so that
I can sew his finger back on… But when I DID, I sewed it on Upside down (I was high again)
Now, whenever he tries to make a Fist, his finger points UP!
The only thing it’s good for, he tells me, is picking his nose, and plugging his poop hole
when he doesn’t feel like Farting.
I’m such a bad BFF !

What’s in your survival kit?
For those of you out there who have put together an emergency survival kit, I’m just wondering what all you have in it. I’m putting together one of my own. So far I have…
first aid kit consisting of bandages, antibacterial ointment, pain killers, medical tape, gauze, cotton balls, q-tips, chap stick, latex gloves
2 filtration masks
2 emergency blankets
2 trash bags
funnel
compass and whistle
100% deet spray
water purification tablets
2 bic lighters, 1 butane lighter, strike anywhere matches in waterproof container, magnesium striker (gotta have fire lol)
sharpie marker and notepad
LED flashlight
AM/FM/Shortwave Radio
I’m currently in the market for a new multi-tool and a fixed blade knife. I’m thinking of getting a Buck 119 for my fixed. Any recommendations for a knife, multitool, or anything else in general are more than welcome. Please no comments about me being paranoid. When hurricane Katrina hit there were few who were prepared and thousands that weren’t.
elmo thinks this is a fake stowy.bye bye.
As a backpacker and RV owner I have several options in which to keep and “Be Prepared”. In my Day back pack are my ten essentials this goes with me everywhere I go whether in the car, RV or a hike I can keep this handy and always have what I need. On my person I have a Leatherman wave super tool. I use this in my line of work daily. In the RV I keep a weeks supply of food, fuel, water, a ham radio/cb radio tools, generator(fuel and solar) and basically everything on your list and more as it’s my home away from home.
It’s good to have a plan as well as the supplies and being my age now with family all over the USA I have a lot of options as to where to go should a disaster hit my area. Of course that’s if there is some kind of warning. California does not have to worry about Katrina’s only earthquakes, fire and anarchy to which for that I keep a few guns around too.
